Gabby’s Accident

As I’ve written in my previous blog, my friends and I went to Bohol for adventure. I’ve had a lot of good memories during my stay but there’s this incident that happened to Gabby (The name of my Samsung Corby phone). We were by the shore me, Jaja and Ice so we’ve decided to take some picture of us. Jaja invited me to sit beside her and said “tara lubog tayo”, and so I did. Little do I know Gabby is still in my pocket. I literally screamed when I got into my senses and remembered that Gabby is inside my pocket. I immediately pulled Gabby out and checked him. He was all wet and his screen is totally blank, sign that his damaged. All this happed because of my recklessness. I was in deep remorse when I saw that his not operating anymore. We were on our second day that time when this happened. It bothers me every time I recall what happened to Gabby. I’m stupid, yeah I know.

When I got home, I immediately send Gabby to the nearest hospital (nah just joking, I send him to a repair shop). I first tied my luck at Samsung Business Center at Robinsons Galleria. They don’t do repairs at the Business Center so they referred me to somebody who can but I was given a heads-up that there is only a 50-50 chance that Gabby will be repaired. I was advised to talk to the technician at the SMILE shop also located at Galleria. And so I did. The technician did some few checking used some device I don’t know but he said something that made my eyes sparkle like stars. He said that Gabby could be repaired it’s just so happen that he does not have enough equipments and tools to fix him. Again I was referred to the nearby shop. With all hopes up, I walk off to that shop. I talked to the technician and told him what happened. He was nodding when he heard my story (hey! I know I’m stupid okay!!). So he did some estimation and said that he can do it. I leave them with my contact number so at least they could message me on what had happen. He said that there is no assurance that Gabby will be fixed but if so then I’ll have to pay P1000.00 which I guess I fine and reasonable, though my friends told me that that is too much. I guess I’m just desperate in wanting my Gabby to be fixed. . He told me that if all went good then probably by tomorrow Gabby will be ready.

The next day at around 12nn, I received a text message from the technician saying that Gabby is now okay. I literally jumped when I read the message like I won the lottery. I went straight to the repair shop to claim Gabby. I checked him right away and it seemed that he is doing fine now. I let the man at the Samsung Business Center checked him also just to verify. All seemed good with Gabby now and as peace offering I bought him a silicon case.
