Holiday Inn Experience

My closest friends, JR, KC, Rhum, Rhoda and I have been planning to go out of town. We've listed places that are somehow feasible to visit, considering the fact that KC and JR have only limited time to spend for the trip. We were planning to go to Puerto Galera and then Batangas. Things went a bit rocky as we plan this sort of expensive getaway and we all ended up spending the day at holiday inn in ortigas.

The hotel accommodation was paid in full by rhoda (which was a treat from his brother). JR, KC, Rhum and I made sure that all of us will be full at all times, we consider ourselves the food committee. haha.. We had a party sized pizza from shakey's, two whole chickens from Baliwag lechon, bunch of chips and vodka (The Bar). The preparation itself was fun already. I dunno if it’s just me or I just love to shop for goodies or I'm just too excited to spend the night with this people.

We checked in at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon and were informed that our check out time will be at 12 noon next day. It costs us around P5, 100 for the accomodation (we are just lucky to have Rhoda and his dear brother to take care of the bills. haha...) The room that we took only allows two adults to accomodate. But since we were born intelligent, we entered the hotel by batch (by two's). Rhoda and JR paired up and took the main entrance of the hotel. After everything is settled, JR accompanied me and took the entrance at the 4th floor of Robinson's Galeria. Rhum was fecthed by JR as well and KC was fetch by rhoda. So sily of us to do this but the fun of breaking some rules was just an additional spice to our vacay.

We had a short pool party which was held on the fifth floor of the hotel. The ambiance at the pool area is just fabulous, very relaxing indeed. The water is great. It’s cool and fresh and it doesn't smell or taste like chlorine. Rhum decided not to join us because he can't handle the coolness of the water. But that doesn't stop us from enjoying the pool. After like an hour of taking pleasure of the water, we have decided to take some rest and start with our pajamas party.

Everybody took a shower and freshen up so we could start. Everything was all set when the clock ticks 10. I prepared a strawberry flavored vodka which kinda taste good (I'm not good in mixing liqours though.. haha). For some reasons, Rhum, JR and KC went to bed right away which leaves me and Rhoda alone. I was under the impression that all of us will be drinking that night but I was wrong. KC still has a shift the following morning, Rhum just had his shift and haven't caught any sleep yet and JR was just sleepy that he can't handle even just a shot of my vodka. (Don’t get me wrong, my Vodka is not that bad. They are just sleepy!!). While the rest of the gang was getting some Z's already, Rhoda and I decided to watch one of the Cd's from rhum (The devil wears Prada). After the film, we've decided to call it a day, hid under the comforters and set our foot off to dreamland.

The next day, KC kissed us goodbye at around 5am since again, he still has a shift by 6. Rhum made a short visit at his office which is a few blocks away from the hotel. At around 7am, we had our breakfast at the restaurant located at the 4th floor. We have 2 complimentary breakfasts which rhum and I used. We took the liberty of using the complimentary breakfast since Rhoda and Jr decided to buy their food at McDonalds. The restaurant offers buffet style of service. Rhum and I took more than what we can eat so we could share it to the other two.

What I enjoyed much about my stay in the hotel was the bubble bath. I filled the tub with warm water and a whole and a half tube of bath gel. I only have best words to describe the feeling I had when I bath in that warm tub. There is also an Indian/Arabic sounds playing inside the bath room which made me a bit sleepy, it’s as if you were staying inside a temple in India which is so peaceful you can only hear the moderate sound of musical instruments. This was one of the most remarkable moments that I had with Holiday Inn.

I wonder when will be our next hotel invasion. I hope my other friends could come as well.
