Mike's Wedding

Today I have been very ecstatic as I wear my new set of clothes and prep up for my team mates wedding. It was nice of Mike to invite me to go to his wedding knowing that I am just new in the team. I haven’t had the chance to make friends with him so it’s a surprise that he invites me to go. It’s been a while since I last attended a wedding. If I recall it right, I was still in grade school when I attended this wedding ceremony of my mom’s friend.

The wedding was held at Bella Ibarra which is located along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City. The team’s meeting place is at the office. Ayi and TL Joice brought their cars along with them to accompany most of us. I was with Ayi that time and somehow lead the way since I am familiar with the place (and we got lost.. haha). We still managed to get to the right venue by asking the patrolling guards in the street. The venue is at the second floor of the building. We took pictures of us wearing semi-formal attires. It is not everyday that we wear this clothes since we normally wear casual clothes at work. We were mesmerized by TL Joice as she wears a dress and it looked good to her. Same goes with the other girls. The guys are guys are wearing their normal formal attires, polo and slacks.

As we enter the venue itself, everything was purple and white. I immediately felt underdressed since most of the people around are wearing barong tagalog’s and the like. But I get a long still since some are wearing casual wears. The program started, the entourage walked in, and everyone was wowed by the bride as she enters. I felt all the chills in me oozing out as I witness this scene. Both of them looked stunning by the way they handle their selves. They looked happy yet nervous, hey who’s not going to be nervous with a big event as that. And so they exchanged their vows. We were all amazed as they say nothing but only sweet words to each other. And that concludes the program.

The overflowing food is waiting for us but since the line for the food is packed, we opted to enjoy the photo booth. It was fun doing the photo shoot with them. After we’re thru with the booth, finally we were able to take our chance to enjoy the sumptuous dishes they prepared for us. While eating, the couple made their way to the dance floor. You can even see the girls sigh as the couple swayed their body and exchange looks. Every one was just happy looking at the love birds.

And it all ended well. I really hope mike and his bride will make a perfect couple. Problems may get in the way but if love is with them, I know everything will be as easy as if they are just walking in the park.

Post Birthday Celebration

My birthday celebration continues as my family and I went to do the ultimate taste test on the food at Mann Hann restaurant located at the trinoma mall. We ordered pata tim, fish and tofu, roasted chicken, shanghai rolls, mixed vegetables and yang chow rice. We also tried their leche flan and cheese cake. Also with us is my best friend JR, who took his time out and celebrate with us. KC should’ve been here as well but was not able to come because of his tight schedule. As the food flood on our table, everybody became silent as we savor each and every dish that is right in front of us. I really had a great time spending this day with them.

Few days after this, I also celebrated my birthday with my closest friends at Convergys. Right after our shift we went straight to Café Agogo at Ortigas. We had our breakfast and then take a few sip of lemon slush.

Simple yet fun filled day spent with them. These people actually have this ability to change simple day to an extraordinary and amazing day filled with good memories. I just love to be with them always!

A Glimpse of my 23rd year

Today is my birthday. I just turned 24. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and thought of things I have been though, things that made a significant mark in my book.

Last year was a year of adventure for me. I have been to different place I thought I can only see in pictures. I went up the mountains and feel the cool breeze of Baguio, fought the waves and swim in the depths of sea at Puerto Galera, then flew all the way south and felt the fine powder-like sand of Bohol.

I also made a lot of friends last year. I can literally count them in my hands but I know they are true. We’ve been thru a lot (I mean a lot) already and I know I can count on them thru thick and thin. This is one thing I can definitely thanks CVG for, because working with the company allows me to meet this people.

I was once an achiever. I always wanted to be on top. Every time I step in the glass doors of the office, I made sure that I will put on my signature on my works. I wanted to be remembered. I wanted to be recognized. Awards and certificate means a lot to me as they boost my confidence and morale. But all of this ended surprisingly bad but the experience itself taught me to be strong. I can say that that experience is one of the best and so far the greatest experience I can ever think of whenever I think of my days when I was still 23. I owe this all to you SIR!

My birthday wish?
All I can think of as of now is that I wanted to become a better person. I know I’m not perfect and I’m not the only one. In fact, everybody is. Well, I know I have been very bad and unreasonable but this coming year, I promise to make it up. I will try to improve myself and try to become if not best then at least better person.

I am looking forward to new experiences this year and I know that my best years are still yet to come.

Celebrating V-Day

They say that February is the "love month". Yes, that may be true but for some hmm, well let's just say it's not. I am one of those individuals that dread for this month to come. Valentines is just for couples, yeah right I know. Nowadays, individuals like me often look for an excuse not to be tagged as those losers who doesn't have a partner or a dinner date to spend on this day. For singles like me, they would organize a group date(just like what we did) and for some they just do it with their family. But what if you mom and dad has their own plans of going out, just the two of them. What if all of your friends are hooked up already and have plans of going out.

I am single since birth. What I hate about this day is that it reminds me of how bad I am when it comes to love. I feel alone during this day. I've been alone for almost 24 years already and as time goes by, it's getting worst. I don't see anything wrong with me (maybe) but the fact remains that staying with this status means there is.

Well on a good note, I still have some single friends to spend V-day with. Tony, Len, Ice, Tina, Rhum and I went to Shangri-La to eat out and watch a movie. We had a nice dinner at the Clawdaddy and ordered some grilled chops, honey glaced ribs and some pasta. The food somehow is good but mind you, it's not cheap but not that expensive as well. We just received our pay and Sick leave conversion so we don't mind spending some. After that sumptuous meal, we watched Percy Jackson and the lightning thief. I'm glad to have these friends with me to spend the night with but still, it would be a lot different if I spend it with someone that I truly love. I mean I love my girls but I guess it's different if it's celebrated with someone you adore, someone you love and someone you can call your "other half".

There's just one question lingering in my mind as I end the day. "When will I stop dreaming? How long should I wait?". Well, I'll leave it to destiny then. Someone told me that good things come to those who wait. I just hope It's soon. I know love will surely me maybe not now but I know it will in God's time.

Starting my new year!

Goals for 2010

There are things that I want to achieve as I enter the new year. Every start of the year, I always make it a point that I set goals so that I may have direction. This may also be a sort of a new year's resolution or a list of things that I want to improve or totally eliminate.

Aim for a Slimmer Body
-Toni, Jaja and I are aiming for a slimmer body. We are planning to conduct badminton sessions at metrobadminton near robinsons pioneer. We, actually, planned to enroll at Gold's gym to receive formal sessions of cardiovascular exercises and supervision from a gym instructor, but that will cost us moolah. Instead, we came up with the idea of playing badminton so we could sweat out our bodies for a cheaper cost.

Be a Better Person
-For the past years, I've been very rude to others (who's not? haha). This year, I'll try to be a better person. I'll try to minimize and eventually stop thinking bad about other people and stop pumping negative thoughts in my mind. Lately I realized that sometimes it is good to take a peek on the brighter side of life. But, of course, when the time comes that I'll be with my friends, I know we'll go back to our usual bitch'n-moments. That I can't resist. haha..

Save Money
- Last year was one of the toughest year for our family. Mom just finished her chemotherapy that cost us a lot of money. I mean a lot. We were not prepared for the expenses that lead to so much debt. This year, one of my goal is to save money as much as I could. I told my self that I'll save at least 20% of my salary, but if I could save more, I would. I know that I spend a lot of money on things that is not that important; so this year, that attitude is one of the things that I'll try to correct.

Belo Project
- I always tell my friends that I want to experience having a fairer and smooth skin. Last Christmas party, I asked for a gift certificate for Belo services so I can start the make over. This month is my target start for the consultation and treatment. The P500 GC that I received from Ice(thanks ice) will be the start of something that would make a huge difference in my life.

My Christmas List

Yuletide season is about to come. They say that Christmas is just for kids but I say no. We also deserve happiness during this time of the year so I come up with this list of things that I want this Christmas.

Mom's recovery
-As I've written on my previous blog, my mom just accomplished some series of cycles of chemotherapy. She's doing fine as of the moment but she still needs to be under medication for five years. After five years I hope she will be cleared by any sign of malignant cell. I just wish my mom would recover fast. I'm looking forward on the day where she won't need to medicate and live her life as normal as before. By that time I'll get a peaceful mind.

Love
-For the past 23 years I've been making things good for my family especially for my dad. I was the least favorite son in the family so impressing him made me focus on things that would give me recognition. So I working hard on my studies and studying hard to get recognitions. Now I guess is the right time for me to focus on what I've been wanting to. I'm not getting any younger as day goes by so I might as well enjoy my youth while it last. Maybe I'll hang out with friends and go bar hopping, do things that I don't normally do. Maybe I'll bump on someone and maybe we could start from there. haha..

Peace of mind

-Thing are a lot of things that bothers me in the office that would require tough decisions. As I've posted in my previous blog, I am about to decide whether I'll leave the company or stay. I dread the day that I'll have to come up with a decision because I know at some point I'll hurt someone or I would have to sacrifice something. I just wish the season would at least change my mood or better if I'll truly find the peace and happiness that I want.

Digicam / laptop / new phone
- Nothing will keep me from having this must haves this coming year. My old nokia phone died on me so I purchased a new samsung corby. I nearly cried when it first landed on my hands because finally, I have something new for Christmas. I may not be able to buy the notebook and the digicam this month but I'll make sure that I'll have it as soon as I have extra money.

Baguio get away
-My teammates and I are planning to have our grand get away in Baguio. This is what I'm looking forward to this coming January. Hope we could kiss all the stress and pressure away and just be as normal as we could during the trip.
This would be my first time in Baguio so I'm really excited. I'll make sure to bring home some strawberries for my mom when I get home.

Make over
-There are certain things in my body that I want to improve. First is my body build. I am currently weighing 155lbs., and that's way heavier than my weight before. My aim is to at least cut it to 130lbs which is my weight when I was still in college. Next is my face. I have an oily skin and there are lots of scars or pimple marks on my face so I guess this year, it's time for a change and I'll make sure this will put to action.

Well as for now I'm just listing this things that I know I want and hopefully by next year, everything will be settled. My target is actually by midyear and hopefully I accomplished this things already so I can start thinking of bright ideas to do or buy things for my satisfaction.
